Trish Stratus must have an important match at WWE Elimination Chamber

Roxanne Perez and Tiffany Stratton are two women who would benefit from facing off against Trish Stratus at WWE Elimination Chamber.

Everyone knows how WWE loves its legends and two made a return during the women’s Royal Rumble. Trish Stratus and Nikki Bella took part in the match, with both getting a rousing welcome from the fans. It looks like that will not be the last seen of Stratus as reports are that she’s going to be involved in Elimination Chamber in some way. If that’s the case, Trish Stratus would fit perfectly on the show.

Fightful Select reported that Stratus is “expected to be involved with WWE in some way heading into Elimination Chamber, as the show is in her hometown of Toronto.” WWE frequently brings out its legends when big cards are in their hometowns, so it makes sense for Stratus to be involved. Plus, the company just released merchandise to commemorate the 25th anniversary of her debut.

Trish Stratus puts over the talent who needs it

Stratus is one of those legends who gets things “right.” She’s not attempting to come back to have one last title run or get over on the younger talent. She comes back and she consistently puts over names who would benefit from the big moment with her. In recent years, she’s faced and lost to individuals like Becky Lynch, IYO Sky (Money in the Bank match), Charlotte Flair, and others in several matches. She doesn’t need victories at this point in her career, so she’s giving to the women around her.

So, think about where she could fit in at Elimination Chamber and there are two names who would benefit the most from being involved with her. As of this writing, Tiffany Stratton is 37 days into her run as WWE Women’s Champion. She’s expected to face off against Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 41. That means she needs some momentum heading into that showcase and Stratton versus Stratus does just that.

Stratus played the heel role so well during her recent run. It was amazing seeing her get to portray a different version of her character. She could return to that role against a performer in Stratton who fans are getting behind, or perhaps being the hometown hero would mean she’d be the babyface. Either way, this is a match that would be a fun build and has the potential to deliver.

Roxanne Perez versus Trish Stratus would be a great option

There’s another woman on the roster who would benefit from a win over Stratus. The performer is Roxanne Perez. Perez may call herself “The Prodigy” but it’s a name that she’s lived up to well, even before stepping into the WWE. She’s achieved all she could in NXT, and her move to the main roster is happening as she’s scheduled for EC qualifying matches.

But if she does not qualify, WWE could put together a match between she and Stratus to keep her on the show and in an important role. Roxanne Perez versus Trish Stratus as the opening match of the PLE would be a great way to start the show. Plus, seeing Perez getting a win over a Hall of Famer in Stratus would give her some much-needed momentum.

WWE must find a way to ensure Trish Stratus is a part of the Elimination Chamber. Even if she’s not in the main match, there are ways to keep her involved and in matches that help build the division.
