WrestleMania 41 is an intriguing card
WrestleMania 41 is a stacked card, but that doesn’t necessarily mean a good thing. There are 13 matches announced for the evening, but many of these do not jump off the page as a “Mania-worthy” match. For example, Rey Mysterio versus El Grande Americano does not feel like a match that should be on this card. For all purposes, this would be much better as a 15–20-minute match on an episode of WWE Monday Night Raw. It will further one of the most inconsequential angles currently in WWE and doesn’t feel like it needs to be on this card.
The same could be said for Bayley and Lyra Valkyria challenging for the tag team titles. This will undoubtedly lead to Bayley going after Valkyria’s title, but the two women just had a great singles match on WWE Raw. This also feels like the angle is being booked in reverse. The match will get more women on television, namely Liv Morgan who has been an important figure in the women’s division. But perhaps the better answer is to improve the booking around the women’s tag team division entirely.
WrestleMania tends to be a fun night of action for both professional wrestling and sports entertainment. Both cards are filled with some of the most popular and important names on the WWE roster. Expect them to deliver a memorable evening of action.
