WWE Evolution 2025 is set for Sunday, July 13, from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a big night for the WWE women’s division, even though they are being used as a distraction for AEW, having a stacked PPV card the night prior. Evolution II is a long overdue event and one that puts the spotlight firmly on the ladies on the roster. So far, only one match has been booked for the show, with Jordynne Grace qualifying to take on Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women’s Championship. Looking ahead, here are three matches that must occur at the event.

WWE must treat Evolution 2025 as a serious card and take the time to book the show well. WWE Night of Champions is up next on June 28, but those following days and weeks need to be dedicated to putting the women’s division front and center. If WWE treats this show as an afterthought, then points to it underperforming as a reason to not make the PLE an annual occurrence, fans will certainly point out the problematic nature of that decision.

With the card set to include women from all three brands, here are three matches that will certainly get fans talking and interested in watching.

Becky Lynch versus Bayley versus Lyra Valkyria in a triple threat for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship

This is the type of match that would work as a big show opener or even the main event. Yes, it may be a midcard championship, but any match featuring Becky Lynch and Bayley deserves consideration for top booking. These are two of the biggest names in wrestling, and their combined drawing power would help put some attention on Valkyria as well.

After the June 23 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, it is clear that this is the direction that the Women’s IC title is heading. Making the match official for Evolution II is the only way to go.

Tiffany Stratton versus Jade Cargill

This match serves a singular purpose. That purpose? To get the WWE Women’s Championship around Naomi’s waist. Cargill is set to take on Asuka in the finals of the Queen of the Ring Tournament. Asuka should win that match to go on to a big angle against IYO Sky at SummerSlam. But that doesn’t mean Cargill should be pushed outside the title picture.

Cargill versus Stratton as the featured angle in the SmackDown women’s division would keep fans interested, but everyone would be able to predict Naomi’s eventual cash-in. This is her moment, and it would be fantastic to see her as the last woman on screen during the PLE, holding the championship over her head.

Chyna Memorial Battle Royal

Look, we get it. This is a long shot. All these years after Chyna’s untimely death, WWE still fails to honor what she did for the entire wrestling industry. This is a match that fans have wanted to see for years, along with a proper introduction for Chyna into the WWE Hall of Fame. Will it ever come? Probably not. Should it happen? Of course. This is a WrestleMania-worthy match, but a nice alternative would be to see it as a featured match on the all-women’s PLE.
