WWE NXT left the wrestling community in an uproar when Stephanie Vaquer dropped the NXT Women’s Championship to Jacy Jayne. Things quickly escalated as the rumor that Vaquer and Jordynne Grace are set to move to the main roster. Some wondered what to make of the move and how it would impact the women’s division. Well, looking at the roster shows there are several ladies in a position to step up to fill the vacancies.

Losing Stephanie Vaquer and Jordynne Grace would be major hits to the WWE NXT Women’s Division. This is especially true when adding to the fact that Roxanne Perez and Giulia also made that move in recent weeks. Those are four women who were basically main roster ready when they hit the WWE, but their stints in NXT only built their following in the company.

But do not forget, this women’s division was already deep and building momentum as the best women’s division in pro wrestling before those four ladies were added to the group. Was this division young and inexperienced? Yes, but they also showed flashes of talent and growth that caused fans to get excited. Looking at this division, here are a few names who are ready to step up to surprise some fans as they carry the women’s division forward.

Lash Legend

It is sad that Lash Legend is now a singles act. She and Jakara Jackson were an intriguing team as Meta-Four. Many fans wanted to see them capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, even considering seeing them find a way to overcome Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill. WWE had something with this duo and it looked like they were poised to join the main roster together.

That didn’t happen, however. Jackson was released and the entire faction split. Legend should still thrive as a singles act. She’s a powerhouse among the division and has already had several moments on main roster shows. She is an easy choice for an eventual NXT Women’s Champion.

Sol Ruca

Sol Ruca has become one of the more entertaining young performers on the roster. Whether it is her fantastic look for the flashy Sol Snatcher, she keeps fans’ attention the moment she’s on screen. WWE has something special in her and they’ve seemingly noticed that, making her a double champion of sorts so early in her run.

Ruca should remain in NXT for at least 1-2 more years before hitting the main roster. Expect her and Zaria to split soon, with Ruca being pushed into the main event picture. She has NXT Women’s Champion written all over her.

Fallon Henley

Don’t sleep on Fallon Henley. She’s a name who some may think is “new” to professional wrestling but that couldn’t be further from the case. With nearly eight years of experience under her belt, she’s performed in major organizations like SHIMMER and AEW. Even before she was known by her current name, she took on Lacey Evans and Britt Baker as enhancement talent back in 2018.

Fallon Henley knows how to work in this business and has all the makings to be a solid part of the WWE roster for a long time. She’s captured two titles already during her run, so do not be surprised if she remains in the title picture for years on end.

Wendy Choo

Wendy Choo is an interesting name in pro wrestling. She’s been around for 11 years but hasn’t truly been recognized during that time. She’s competed in GCW, SHIMMER, Impact wrestling, New Japan, and other major companies along the way. She’s been moved back to WWE Evolve where she’s working as one of the more experienced performers on that show. But Wendy Choo has the makings of a name who could be a strong piece of a re-tooled women’s division in WWE NXT.

Honorable Mentions: Zaria, Thea Hail, Kendal Grey, Kali Armstrong

There are other names to keep an eye on as well. Zaria was one of the featured names signed at the same time as Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer. She remains in NXT as she’s going through a character rebuilding of sorts to match the sports entertainment side of WWE. Thea Hail is a young, but talented performer who is continuing to come into her own. Kendal Grey and Kali Armstrong are two highly interesting prospects currently in Evolve. Grey has taken part in matches in NXT, while Armstrong is the inaugural WWE Evolve Women’s Champion. Keep an eye out for both of them.

It is understandable why some expressed concern about the future of the WWE NXT Women’s Division. But know that this group is packed with potential, and these names are just a few who will be out front of the pack.
