Trick Williams is known for finding a way to "whoop that trick," and now he'll be known for his first step into the world of acting when he takes part in "All American" as a guest star during the season seven finale.
Variety reported on the news of the opportunity coming the way of the former champion. Trick Williams previously appeared in the show as an extra, but this time he will be in a speaking role. He will play Eddie Blair, the Athletic Director of South Crenshaw High. Williams has extensive knowledge about the subject matter of "All American" as he was part of the South Carolina Gamecocks football team, and had a tryout with the Philadelphia Eagles.
“I am super excited to be a part of this new season of ‘All American,'” Williams said to Joe Otterson of Variety. “They treated me like royalty, put me in my own trailer, and made sure I looked top tier. I really appreciated that because four years ago, I was working as an extra–as a kicker–for South Crenshaw. To come back as the AD for Crenshaw is super surreal and a true full-circle moment for me. They have a great cast and crew, incredible directors, and a strong team. It was an honor be a part of the show.”
Trick Williams is set for a big match at WWE NXT Stand and Deliver
Trick Williams is set to headline the upcoming WWE NXT PLE, Stand and Deliver. He will take on Je'Von Evans and current NXT Champion, Oba Femi, in a triple-threat match. This angle has been the central story for the men's division these last few months and it is a highly anticipated match.
Fans are looking forward to this match, and it should deliver from bell to bell. Also, it is being highlighted as it is a main event that features three Black men at a time when WWE consistently fails at putting Black men in prominent positions as singles performers in the men's division.
Trick Williams is a two-time NXT Champion after rising up as the support character to Carmelo Hayes. He made a surprise appearance on WWE SmackDown, getting a huge reaction from fans. Many saw that as a signal that Williams has the potential to be a major player on the main roster if the opportunity comes his way.
