5. Big E

With WWE abandoning the five-count, Big E’s time as a face has been underwhelming.

There are positives involved in the former powerlifter serving as a face for WWE. His in-your-face attack is exciting to watch, his strength is tremendous and, above all else, he’s close to what WWE had with Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley in terms of his physical dominance.

The unfortunate truth is: face wrestlers who can physically dominate almost every opponent they face are only entertaining in that role for so long.

Powerhouse brawlers in wrestling can play the friendly role for short periods of time, but their greatest strength is to embrace their status as Goliath. Big E would do well to develop a mean streak that would enable him to develop something he currently lacks: a defining persona.

Big E would thrive in a storyline similar to when Lesnar debuted and destroyed everyone from Spike Dudley to The Hardy Boyz. Alexander Rusev did burst onto the scene in a somewhat similar program, but Big E could be labeled as the good guy who snapped and took his fury out on those around him.

His move set is more impressive than Ryback’s and his athleticism is right on par with Lesnar’s and Lashley’s, which adds up to the need for a lengthy heel program in which Big E becomes the latest destructive force in WWE.
