Shawn Michaels Hints WWE Return Reason Would Be Due to Cash

How would Shawn Michaels return to a WWE ring? Well, like every other working human being, it would be about the money.

Every month it seems like there’s a new rumor or more speculation on what it would take to get Shawn Michaels out of retirement. The most prominent one would be with AJ Styles for the 2017 Royal Rumble pay-pay-per-view. That won’t be happening, however. Then Michaels went on to say that Samoa Joe would be his “dream match opponent.”

There’s no sign of HBK getting back into the ring for one last match, but he did hint what it would take for this to happen. He spoke with FOX News about his movie, “The Ressurection of Gavin Stone” and talked resisting the want for him to return to the ring.

"“We all have gifts and I guess all the rocket scientists were given away by the time I got there,” he joked. “[My gift] was in the world of the WWE and I’m thankful for that.”He added, “No, I don’t want to go back and wrestle again…But some big bubble could break and I might need money like everybody else. It’s wrestle or bag groceries — [that’s] all I’m qualified to do.”"

Like anyone else who works for a living, money is a factor. So, if the Showstopper has any need for cash, he may listen. However, he seems all about living up to the retirement match he had with the Undertaker at WrestleMania 26 in 2010. This hasn’t been without some physical appearances, like at WrestleMania 31 with D-Generation X and at WrestleMania 32 with Mick Foley and Steve Austin.

It’s probably going to take a miracle to get Shawn Michaels back for another match, despite the speculation and comments about facing this talent or that wrestler. If you want to see him compete, your best bet is to fire up the WWE Network or play WWE 2K17.
