WWE fans would react to the Festival of Friendship with plenty to say about what happened between Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho.

The “Festival of Friendship” had been a segment WWE hyped up for about a week. It would be to celebrate the long-standing friendship between Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho. They joined forces in the summer of 2016, winning pay-per-view matches together and helping each other in singles bouts.

So this Festival of Friendship would arrive on Monday’s episode of Raw. This saw Jericho do everything from giving Owens a sculpture, presenting him with a painting, and even having a magician appear.

However, toward the end, Owens gave Jericho a present — a new list. Y2J seemed to enjoy this, until he realized “Chris Jericho” was on the list and a “KO” logo on the back of the clipboard. When Jericho looked up, Owens attacked and beat the daylights out of him, effectively ending Jeri-KO.

So the Festival of Friendship has now ended Jeri-KO, something that had been seen coming for a while. This broken up friendship seemed like a good candidate to become a WrestleMania 33 match for the past few months, so we may be on our way there.

MORE FROM DAILY DDT:

First, Owens still needs to face Goldberg for the Universal Championship at WWE Fastlane. Jericho interfering to cost his former best friend the title wouldn’t be a shocking turn of events here, as it could set up their inevitable encounter at the Show of Shows in April. This also gets the title into Goldberg’s hands for his match with Brock Lesnar.
