WWE: Kevin Owens Puts Chris Jericho on the List, Turns on Him at Festival of Friendship (Video)
The Festival of Friendship turned into the demolition of Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho on WWE Raw.
For the past week, WWE heavily hyped the “Festival of Friendship” for the February 13 episode of Raw. It was booked around this being Chris Jericho’s idea to celebrate his friendship with Kevin Owens, which has been a main part of Raw for the past six months.
During the past few weeks, Jericho and Owens had teased tension, including when Y2J accepted KO’s match with Goldberg for him. This is a WWE Universal Championship match that’s taking place at Fastlane.
Well, the frustrations came to a boiling point on Monday’s episode of Raw. After Jericho serenaded Owens with a picture and a sculpture, there would be one last present to be given out. However, this saw the Universal Champion give his best friend a new list. When the Ayatollah of Rock ‘n’ Rollah took it out of the box, he realized that his name was on the list and had a “KO” logo on the back. This led to Owens attacking and brutalizing Jericho around the ring and at ringside, effectively ending their friendship.
The Festival of Friendship turned disastrous here for Jericho. It ended what turned out to be a comically entertaining or poor segment, depending on who you ask.

This attack puts a potential Owens vs. Jericho match at WrestleMania 33 in motion. Of course, there’s still the Universal Championship bout at Fastlane, but one would think Jericho finds a way to play a role in it by costing his now former best friend his title.
