After Naomi was forced to vacate the SmackDown Women’s Championship, Alexa Bliss picked up the win in the ensuing match for the belt.

To kick off Tuesday’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live, Noami was forced to vacate the SmackDown Women’s Championship due to a knee injury. This came just nine days after she won the belt from Alexa Bliss at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

After Naomi walked out of the ring, Bliss entered and demanded that she be given the title back. General Manager Daniel Bryan considered this, but decided against it. He ended up immediately bringing out Becky Lynch to face Bliss in a one-on-one match for the title.

The match would be short, as Bliss hit Lynch in the throat as a cheap shot. She then rolled up the Irish Lass Kicker for the win to reclaim the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Mickie James would come out to congratulate the new two-time champion, only to run to the ring to try to blindside Lynch. The veteran WWE star would make it into the ring for about five seconds, only to be kicked out.

A quick match that put the belt right back on Bliss, who lost it a short time ago. She had an entertaining run in her first go-around, so the decision to make her champion again could have been an easy one.

Now it potentially leads to Bliss heading into WrestleMania 33 as SmackDown Women’s champion. Given the ending to this match, it’s likely we’re going to get another round to her renewed saga with Lynch, with James on the outside of things. Nikki Bella or Natalya could always enter the picture too, but they’re currently involved with each other in their own feud.
