One night after finishing up with Ring of Honor, Jeff and Matt Hardy made their highly-anticipated WWE returns at WrestleMania 33. What did they do at the show?

WrestleMania 33 is here, which means you can expect just about anything. It’s the show WWE tends to pull out all the stops for, from big returns to wild matches, moments and more. WrestleMania is as big of an event as it is for a reason, making for a must-watch for fans. Jeff and Matt Hardy returning only upped the ante for this.

In early March, the Hardys departed TNA. This came after the new ownership took over and unsuccessful contract handlings. So, they went to Ring of Honor for the next month, winning the tag team titles at a live event, only to drop them at Saturday’s Supercard of Honor show. This sparked speculation of what could happen with the former tag team champions coming to WWE. However, that was solved on Sunday night.

Before the Raw Tag Team Championship match started, the New Day came out to introduce a fourth team. It wasn’t them, but the Hardys!

Jeff and Matt being back in WWE marks a seven-plus year return for both (Jeff left in 2009 and Matt in 2010). They’re back as revamped characters, though, having established their “Broken” personalities. This won them over with fans from the past year, from the wacky promos and the Broken Universe. Even Matt’s baby and wife, Reby Hardy, got involved in this gimmick.

Now, the Hardys are back to make their mark on the WWE Tag Team Division. It didn’t matter which brand they went to, so it will be interesting to see how it goes with the one they’re potentially going to be on after WrestleMania 33. Will they be the duo that has been needed to push the tag teams to another level?
