WWE SmackDown Live: Charlotte Flair Turning Face Would Be the Best Move

After the recent events on WWE Smackdown Live, It seems like Charlotte Flair is in line to turn face, we look at why this would be the best move.

A few weeks ago, Vince McMahon looked poised to shake things up when he announced that WWE would hold a superstar shakeup. The shakeup would consist of both RAW and Smackdown Live trading talent with one another.

The shakeup was used to create new feuds and give superstars new opportunities on a brand new show. Monday Night RAW was the first brand to land stars as they acquired The Miz, Bray Wyatt and Dean Ambrose from Smackdown Live.

Along with the men though RAW also acquired two of the top women on Smackdown Live as they got both Alexa Bliss and Mickie James. As we saw though the next night on Smackdown Live, the blue brand ended up scoring the best talent.

Smackdown Live was able to bring in Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn but their biggest addition came towards the middle of the show when Shane McMahon announced they had acquired Charlotte Flair from RAW.

Flair had quite the run on RAW during her nine months on the flagship show. The Queen won the RAW Women’s Championship on four occasions and main evented both a pay per view and multiple episodes of Monday Night RAW.

Her ongoing feud with Sasha Banks was one of the best feuds that the brand had going and the two competed in the first female Hell in a Cell, and Iron Man Match, which Charlotte ended up winning both.

Charlotte instantly announced her plans to take the Women’s division on Tuesday Nights by storm when she challenged Naomi in a nontitle match. The Queen would win the match and earned herself a championship match this past week on Smackdown Live.

However, many of the veteran females of the blue brand took anger and jealousy towards Flair as she got a title match instantly. Frustrated in this Natalya, Carmella and Tamina attacked Charlotte during her title match this week costing her the championship.

With the attack on her, it seems likely that Flair could be on the verge of beginning a face turn on Smackdown Live. While some fans may not the like this The Queen turning face would be the best move for her.

The Blue brand is currently stacked with a ton of female heels on the show and having Charlotte as one would just add to that mix. Charlotte being a face could allow her to work programs with the likes of Natalya, Carmella and Tamina.

It’s been a long time since we have seen Charlotte as a face on the main roster, which could give her character a whole new look and feel. The move could also allow WWE to potentially turn Becky Lynch into a heel.

Last night while Charlotte was being attacked the crowd was chanting for Lynch to come to the ring to help her former best friend. However, The Irish Lass Kicker remained in the back. Earlier in the night the new trio of Natalya, Carmella and Tamina tried to convince Lynch to join their cause against Charlotte.

With Charlotte turning into a face it could allow Lynch to finally become a heel in the process. It’s fair to say that Becky has not lived up to her full potential yet on Smackdown Live. After being the first female taken by the blue brand in the draft, Lynch seemed like she would be the face of the division.

This quickly looked to be true as she became the first Smackdown Women’s Champion back at Backlash. However, after the uprising of Alexa Bliss, Lynch lost her title and was never able to reclaim it.

Throughout her career, Lynch has had a number of her friends turn on her and gain momentum by doing so. Lynch could finally do this herself, turn on Charlotte and then begin a major feud between the two.

Flair and Lynch are easily the best two ring workers on the blue brand and their feud could reach the heights that Charlotte’s and Sasha’s did last year. The two could battle over the Women’s Championship leading to a huge match at Summerslam.
