WWE Twitter Hates John Cena vs. Roman Reigns ‘Dream Match’ Idea

One day, we’re going to get John Cena vs. Roman Reigns in a WWE ring. Is it actually a “dream match,” though?

For a shade over 10 years, we had John Cena as the Face of WWE. He was plastered all over promotional items for WWE, granted hundreds of Make-A-Wish requests and always got placed in the main event scene of pay-per-views.

That’s pretty much ended, however, with Cena’s outside media career developing. He’s still headlining shows, but only a few months out of the year.

Then, there’s Roman Reigns — the fan-proclaimed Next John Cena of WWE. While his Make-A-Wish grants will likely never come close to Cena’s, the Big Dog has been placed in the spot the 40-year-old controlled.

Eventually, these two polarizing stars are going to meet head-to-head at something like Royal Rumble, SummerSlam or WrestleMania. If Cena can stay healthy and keep a presence in WWE, this may not happen for a while. However, we’re bound for the eventual clash, where fans will have to decide which of these men they hate more or less.

Well, WWE is already hyping their match up — even though there’s no sign of it happening anytime soon. They are playing it off in this social media video below, talking about the interaction Reigns and Cena had on Twitter:

So, WWE also posted this on its Twitter account. A few people love the idea of these two colliding in a ring, while others want nothing to do with it:

Someone has a silver lining about this matchup. There may be a point to it, too.

You can only imagine the reaction that will ensue the day WWE places Reigns and Cena into a feud. It’s going to be a polarizing spectacle, not only in the ring but on social media. If those tweets are a preview of what’s to come, then we’re in for something that may draw the biggest reaction of any WWE feud we’ve ever seen.
