Yes, I’m aware that he’s the United States champion, but that helps me make my point. The WWE realized that his character was stale so they tried to put the belt on him to give him more credibility and some meaningful storylines. They’ve failed at both. Sheamus has been with WWE for over five years and his gimmick has changed from an Irish guy who loves to fight and is nasty to an Irish guy who loves to fight that smiles at the crowd from time to time.

It’s high time we get Sheamus a new gimmick or at the very least a more meaningful feud that could add some excitement back into his character. I’m a big supporter of some kind of European stable, especially if we can get William Regal in there as a mouthpiece and perhaps Finlay in there as some kind of honorary member. I just think Sheamus is better as a heelish thug as opposed to his happy-go-lucky attitude he currently employs.
