WWE Money in the Bank Predictions: Daniel Bryan on the Kickoff Show
By Mike Smith
On Sunday, Daniel Bryan is going to appear on WWE TV for the first time since being stripped of the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Bryan will appear on the Money in the Bank Kickoff Show, and he will be answering questions from the WWE Universe, submitted via social media.
We have not heard from Bryan since The Authority stripped him of the title, and they claimed that they reached out to him beforehand. We also haven’t heard much about his wife, Brie Bella, who quit WWE when Stephanie McMahon originally threatened Bryan’s title.

Bryan will surely have a lot to say about the title he still perceives to be his, the eight men fighting for it later in the night, and The Authority’s incessant gloating as they metaphorically took it out of his hands.
Of course, Bryan will have an update on his neck injury that took him out of action in the first place. That update will be the centerpiece of the entire interview, and the WWE Universe will hold their breath as Bryan delivers the good, or crushing news.
We have some predictions on what Bryan might say, coming from Daily DDT staff members Alex Del Barrio, Benjamin Raven, Luther Fraser, and myself, Mike Smith.
Alex’s Take: All has been quiet on the Daniel Bryan front on the dirtsheets. I don’t know how his surgery is going, but I expect a continuation of the angle where he wants an automatic title shot upon his return. Triple H will likely say he will never get another shot as he cannot stay healthy and he will eventually have to win the Royal Rumble to get himself a shot. This angle begins here.
Benjamin’s Take: I have this gut feeling that Bryan is going to rush back and announce his return for SummerSlam. Every update regarding his recovery has been negative but I think he’s in a place where he feels the need to make his return at the summer’s hottest show. Obviously he’s going to get a title shot so let the Brock, Bryan and Cena rumors begin.
Luther’s Take: I think Bryan will come out to explain he wants a title shot as soon as he comes back. If he does say he’s coming back soon maybe that opens the door for a heel to win the MITB title match, then Bryan wins his comeback title shot and finally The Beast Incarnate F5’s his way to the title at SummerSlam.
Mike’s Take: Nobody knows how Daniel Bryan’s recovery is coming along. Rumors have said it’s not going well, but that doesn’t mean that’s the case. I think Bryan will be ready for Battleground, and I think he announces that tonight. Much like Luther, I see this leading to a heel winning the title, Bryan reclaiming it at Battleground, then heading for a match with Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.
