Corey Graves

Some time ago, Corey Graves was an independent wrestler who went by the name Sterling James Keenan. He was the anti-superstar with his body covered in tattoos, his promos insinuating a life of illegality and his move set describable only as realistic.

With nothing different but his name and the length of his hair, Graves is breaking through in NXT. He deserves to make it to the next level in the near future.

Graves won’t blow you away with what he does in the ring, but that’s not what his style is meant to do. He’s the type of wrestler who brings an authentic feel to a match with the way he brawls and targets limbs, methodically wearing down every opponent.

Going against the grain has worked for some superstars, but it’s also backfired for others. Graves is the type who can take advantage of an opportunity.

Graves has the look and mic ability to become a wrestler that either becomes a cult fan favorite or a hated heel. When unleashed, he’s not a PG superstar or a forcefully R-Rated wrestler, but instead one who knows how to develop his character.

Graves does have some polishing to do, but his potential is significantly higher than most others in NXT.
