WWE Raw Review: SummerSlam Hype is the Focus

Overall Impression

This was a pretty good episode of WWE Raw. They could have done without the second segment for Steph and Brie. It took some air out of the feud. The build-up for the A.J. Lee-Paige match for the Divas Championship at SummerSlam was also pretty flat tonight. Other than that, the feuds were sold pretty well.

Predictions

  • This was the official nail in the coffin for the Xavier Woods stable, unless they plan on bringing it in for Night of Champions. That seems doubtful, though.
  • Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins won’t be negatively affected by the surprise lumberjack stipulation.
  • Brie Bella’s arrest will take some of the heat away from this feud on Sunday.
  • A.J. Lee vs. Paige is going to be by far the shortest match of SummerSlam.
  • It’s interesting that Triple H hasn’t been announced as the special referee for Brie-Steph. He’ll factor into the night in some way.
  • Can WWE give us tickets to SummerSlam or Raw for $9.99?
