WWE SummerSlam: How can WWE pull a swerve on the fans?
Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena – WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match
The build for this heavweight fight has been fun so far. The war of words (despite only being there together once) has been entertaining. How about that promo video that WWE did?
No matter what happens with this match, it will be a hard-hitting match that is sure to leave someone bloodied (probably Cena). What kind of swerves could happen though? Since this is such a big match, we’ll list multiple swerves.
- John Cena wins – Yes, a swerve would be Cena winning. Most expect Lesnar to come out on top because of the momentum he has from Wrestlemania 30. WWE has shown plenty of times that they do not care if Cena is going up against a rising star or someone who has plenty of momentum. They will let Mr. Hustle, Loyalty and Respect win to keep his image, even though he could rack up 10 straight losses at this point in his career and still keep his image perfectly in tact.
- Seth Rollins Cashes In – Rollins could cash in on either opponent with the MITB briefcase. Of course, it would most likely be Cena if he wins. If Rollins somehow cashes in on Lesnar and wins the title, the shock level would be ridiculously high.
- Cena wins, Heyman turns on Lesnar – Some have brought this up lately, but I can’t see this happening. Lesnar’s style fits him too much as a heel. How could you turn him face after ending The Undertaker’s streak? Plus, we saw a similar rivalry last year with CM Punk and Paul Heyman that got dragged out way too long. They can’t have round two of that. Where would Heyman even go after that?
Do you guys agree with these possible swerves? If not, what do you think could happen?
