Bray Wyatt defeats Chris Jericho

Mike Smith’s Take:

Bray gets the win, as should have been the case, and he did it without any help from Luke Harper and Erick Rowan, as should have been the case.

I found their match at Battleground to be extremely disappointing, but I was not disappointed by this one. I was thoroughly entertained for the whole match.

Y2J, you have done it again.

Rob Wolkenbrod’s Take:

I was shocked. The stipulation matches that kept Erick Rowan and Luke Harper off the sidelines made me think it was a complete guarantee they would interfere to give Wyatt the win. My wish came true that I have been clamoring for: Bray Wyatt won clean!

Bray and Y2J put on a solid match. It won’t be up for match of the year, but it met expectations and put over The Eater of Worlds.

These two will probably have one more fight at Night of Champions, which will be Y2J’s likely last match of his short-term stay.
