Today at either 4 pm ET or 9 pm ET, you can check out the latest edition of WWE NXT on the WWE Network.
It should be another entertaining show, as there will be two non-title matches, an in-ring debut, and a likely great match to end the show that involves the best technical wrestler in NXT and possibly all of WWE.
Let’s take a look at the preview below!
Charlotte vs. Beck Lynch
Becky Lynch gets another opportunity here to prove herself – this time, against the NXT Women’s Champion – Charlotte. Lynch took the loss last week against Sasha Banks via the “Bank Statement.” If she can upset the champ, she could find herself in the mix for the title.
Possible involvement from Banks here could be interesting, as she will likely make a push for the championship. NXT doesn’t do DQ finishers as much as the main roster does, though, so seeing a clean finish (most likely with Charlotte picking up the win) wouldn’t be a surprise.
Baron Corbin vs. Elias Samson
Squash match.

Sin Cara and Kalisto vs. Buddy Murphy and Wesley Blake
Look everybody, it’s the tag team champions!
Sin Cara and Kalisto haven’t been mentioned much since they won the NXT Tag Team Championship from the Ascension at NXT Takeover: Fatal 4-Way in September. This match against Buddy Murphy and Wesley Blake will give them some work and a win to let everyone know that they’re still sitting around – unless these two upset the Lucha Dragons, which could lead to a title opportunity down the line. However, it appears that the Vaudevillains appear to be getting that shot at some point.
Carmella vs. A Local Wrestler
This will be the introduction of Carmella to the NXT Universe, as she has been training at the Performance Center with the help of Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady. She was fired from her hair stylist job, so she asked Team Sawft to get her a job with WWE.
Anytime you see that a local wrestler is competing in a match, you know how it will end up.
Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady vs. Marcus Louis and Sylvestor Lefort
This match was announced two weeks ago and was supposedly going to take place last week, but Amore and Cassady were fed to the Vaudevillains instead. There wasn’t a single mention made of Les Legionnaires during the match.
The rivalry between these two teams could come to its’ end here, which wouldn’t be bad because it has dragged out for a little while now.
I love Amore’s act, but I’m not convinced at all that he can wrestle. WWE seems to agree, as they mostly have him sell moves throughout the match and let him hit a quick pinfall for a victory. That’s going to need to change eventually, unless they feel that he can get by like this.
Sami Zayn vs. Tyson Kidd
Last week on WWE NXT, we saw Titus O’Neil surprisingly defeat Sami Zayn via pinfall. Many fans were left scratching their heads, but I guess this was done to make O’Neil strong since he’s the main roster guy.
Following the match, we saw Adrian Neville pretty much confirm that he’s not turning heel – yet. He made the save for Zayn just as one half of Slater Gator was about to attack him. This was returning the favor from last week when the wrestler formerly known as El Generico, gave Titus the Helluva Kick as he was about to attempt to cost Neville the NXT Championship against Tyson Kidd.
Coming into today’s show, it’s unknown what to really expect regarding the NXT Championship feud. Is O’Neil going to get his shot at the belt? How will Neville and Zayn act towards each other now that both have saved each other from an attack?
Zayn vs. Tyson Kidd should be a fun match. I’m a little surprised that Nattie’s husband is still on the tapings after losing his “Last Chance” match against Neville for the NXT Championship, but there’s never a problem with having Kidd on the show.
This is a must-win situation for Zayn. If he doesn’t rebound from his loss from last week, I’m not quite sure how they will handle him from there.
What are you looking forward to on today’s edition of NXT?
