Corey Graves Announcement
Last week on WWE NXT, we were teased an announcement on the future of Superstar Corey Graves, which will be made on the pre-show.
For those who were not pre-WWE Network viewers of NXT (The show has took place since 2012), Graves was a top star on the show. However, multiple concussions has derailed his wrestling career in doubt. He was last seen in action on April 3 in a six-man tag team match.
The hope is that Graves’ announcement will be that he’s cleared for action. However, with concussions, you always have to expect the worse.
We’ve seen upgrades in protection for athletes ever since the issue began coming to light in the NFL. Too many of these concussions can lead to Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE), which has been diagnosed in the brains of former NFL players like Junior Seau, who committed suicide last year after suffering so much brain damage.
If Graves tells fans that he can no longer wrestle, hopefully there’s a spot open for him as a coach, commentator, or even as a manager.
