Should Vince McMahon Retire?
Is it time for Vince McMahon to retire? Should he step down as CEO and Chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment?

In his 40+ year career as a wrestling promoter and businessman, McMahon’s accomplishments are unparalleled. He branded the WWF/E, created WrestleMania, and turned the Northeast-based promotion into a worldwide entity in sports entertainment.
But, has Vince McMahon turned into the same mold as the late Al Davis of the Oakland Raiders, who made questionable business decisions towards the latter part of his career? Most of us question the decision of switching to PG programming, pushing scripts for every wrestler, and if the company was ever capable of starting its own network. Has his ego gotten the best of him and the WWE? Can he not trust in the people that will eventually succeed him?
McMahon’s son-in-law Triple H (real name Paul Levesque), who has complete control over the WWE’s developmental program NXT, is the heir to the Chairman’s throne. NXT has been brilliantly booked, unlike the main roster shows, Raw and Smackdown. But is it his time to completely take over the company right now? Rumors are circling that Superstars want McMahon to step down as the Chairman and let Triple H take the reigns of the company.
A rumored issue in the backstage area is that there is no single direction in terms of story lines for any performer. Vince wants you to perform a match one way, Hunter wants it done another way, and the Creative team wants you to do it their way, but let’s be honest, they don’t know what the hell they’re doing in the first place. As mentioned in the infamous Art of Wrestling podcast’s interview with C.M. Punk, he stated that this was one of the many reasons he walked away from the WWE, because of the lack of a universal direction for the company and its product.

I personally believe it is time for Mr. McMahon to step away for good. The current Superstars of today need to have their own input on how they are pushed, not by a piece of paper that some scriptwriter wrote for them. There is no better person to take over the WWE and improve the product more than Triple H, who knows the struggles of all the performers and what they need to do for better professional wrestling and better television. Hunter is is more than ready and capable to be the new boss.
But that’s just my valueless opinion, what do you think? Who should be on the saddle of World Wrestling Entertainment? Should Vince McMahon retire and Triple H take over? Or is it fine just the way it is?
