WWE Fastlane 2015: How Sheamus May Be Involved at the Show
Sheamus’ return has been hyped for a few weeks, so could he factor into WWE Fastlane tomorrow night?

For the past couple of WWE shows, we have seen the potential return of Sheamus hyped with a video. With all the hype that he has received for his return, it seems like the stage is being set for the Celtic Warrior to return in a big way.
Sheamus is returning just in time for WrestleMania season, which looks to be crowded. There’s the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match, Sting vs. Triple H, Bray Wyatt vs. The Undertaker, John Cena vs. Rusev and potentially Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins to highlight the show. This would seemingly leave Sheamus on the outside looking in. However, there is a way that he can make it onto the card.
Before the reports came out about Daniel Bryan possibly being added to the main event of WrestleMania 31, it was rumored that he was set to face Sheamus in round three of their series at the show of shows. The rumor quickly disappeared after talk of Bryan and Dolph Ziggler having a match came into the news.
So what if the report of Bryan being added to the main event was not true?
All along it has been known that Vince McMahon wants Roman Reigns to be the next “guy” and will do whatever it takes for it to happen. However, it was noted that he realized the negative crowd reaction that the former Shield man was receiving, so the report came out that Bryan would be added to the main event to try to keep the crowd happy. This was kind of strange to hear since Vince did the same thing last year with the planned main event of Randy Orton vs. Batista.
I cannot see the Chairman doing this for a second straight year. With how big we have seen his ego to be, he won’t want to budge for a second straight year. Reigns will win tomorrow night’s match to move onto face Brock Lesnar.
This would leave Bryan with nothing to do for WrestleMania 31, unless the plan that was reported from the beginning was still in place.
Since Sheamus went down with an injury in November, it has been rumored that he would come back as a heel. If the plan is still on for him to face Bryan, having him interfere in this match would be a perfect way to build a story line. He could run in and attack Bryan while the referee is distracted, leading to Reigns capitalizing and securing the win. The motivation for this rivalry would be Bryan wanting revenge for Sheamus costing him his chance at headlining WrestleMania. This wouldn’t be a popular move, but it would be a big swerve to this match.
The danger that this rivalry faces is that it could fade into the background with all the other potential matches on the card. It may not get a great build on TV and last less than ten minutes if the other big matches on the card take up 15-25 minutes a piece.
Do you think Sheamus will get involved in tomorrow night’s WWE Fastlane pay-per-view?
