#1 Contender’s Match for WWE Tag Team Championship
The Lucha Dragons (Kalisto and Sin Cara) vs. The New Day (Big E and Kofi Kingston)

This was a battle between WWE’s hottest tag team and the most hated to determine who would face Cesaro and Tyson Kidd at Extreme Rules.

It’s nice to see that WWE has New Day as full-fledged heels, but it still feels too late.

Kalisto would get the hot tag and send the crowd to their feet immediately. He hit a head scissors into a DDT that was fantastic.

Kalisto would then tag Sin Cara in, both would climb to the top rope and knock down Big E and Kofi Kingston.

As the referee was counting to 10, Xavier Woods, who was hiding under the ring, grabbed Cara’s legs and prevent him from entering the ring. This caused a countout and a win for New Day.

The New Day defeats The Lucha Dragons via countout to become the number one contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championship.

2.8 out of 5 stars – This was a decent match, but the antics of Woods brought down the rating. However, the rating was then boosted by Randy Orton delivering some RKO’s to Big E and Kingston like he said he would. Did this become the theme of Raw?
