Chris Jericho’s Next Live Podcast Guest Revealed

Chris Jericho has revealed that the next person to feature on one of his Live Podcasts on the WWE Network is none other than Stephanie McMahon.

It appears as though Chris Jericho’s live podcasts on the WWE Network are set to continue following the success of his interview with John Cena. And the first-ever Undisputed Champion took to Twitter to reveal the latest person that will share the stage with him:

Stephanie McMahon is the ideal person to appear on a podcast with Chris Jericho, as the pair have been strongly linked throughout their careers. Jericho has previously stated that he looks at McMahon as the catalyst for his rise into the main event in WWE, as they verbally sparred with each other on a constant basis. The current matriarch of the Authority provided excellent fodder due to her relationship with Triple H and position as the daughter of Vince McMahon, and Jericho proved the equivalent to her that Stone Cold Steve Austin was for Vince himself.

The pair have also been on the same page, as they united in 2002 when Jericho became the Undisputed Champion to feud against McMahon’s estranged husband Triple H at the time. Whilst the chemistry wasn’t quite the same as when they were enemies, it demonstrates that both of their careers have been intertwined, and thus they would have a great deal to talk about over the course of the program.

It will also be interesting to hear Stephanie McMahon talk outside of kayfabe about a number of topics, should they come up. Many believe that she and Triple H are set to take the reins of WWE when Vince McMahon departs, and it would be interesting to see her creative thought process and what she sees for the company going forward. We can get an insight into what superstars and divas she thinks have a big future in WWE, and an understanding of her role backstage as the Chief Brand Officer and part of the Board of Directors.

Whether it will be talking about their work together on screen, the future of WWE or her current work with the Authority, I feel Stephanie McMahon is perfect as the next guest. She is the biggest heel in the company and a masterful speaker, and her chemistry and long friendship with Chris Jericho will likely make this a very enjoyable show mixed with some significant questions.
