WWE Payback 2015: Updated Match Card and Speculation
With WWE Payback less than three weeks away, check out how the match card may shape up.

- Liv Morgan vs Rhea Ripley is perfect for WWE Royal Rumble 2024
Even though WWE Extreme Rules came and went on Sunday, we still have the WWE Payback pay-per-view to prepare for. The show takes place on Sunday, May 17.
Over the past two nights, we have seen the Payback card begin to form. The main event was announced and a fourth installment of another feud got confirmed for the fifth PPV of the year.
With this in mind, check out the projected match card below.
Bray Wyatt vs. Ryback
- Speculated.
- This feud began last night with Wyatt attacking the Big Guy following his match with Bo Dallas. With the Inspirational One being the real life brother of Wyatt, could WWE align the two? Dallas has been sporting a beard that’s been growing by the week. It could mean something or nothing.
WWE Intercontinental Championship Battle Royal
- Speculated.
- With Daniel Bryan out of action with an unknown injury for an extended length of time, chances are he’ll have to drop the IC Title. A logical way of deciding the new champion would be with a battle royal. This was done at WWE Battleground 2014 after Bad News Barrett had to forfeit the title due to a shoulder injury.
WWE United States Championship Match
John Cena (c) vs. Rusev
-“I Quit” Match
- Confirmed.
- This match was set at the Extreme Rules PPV after Rusev demanded that Lana speak to the Authority.
- This should be the fourth and final installment of this feud. With the Bulgarian Brute down 2-1, can he even things?
WWE Tag Team Championship Match
The New Day (c) vs. Cesaro and Tyson Kidd
- Speculated.
- Even with these two teams set to wrestle on SmackDown for the titles, having the payoff rematch at the PPV makes the most sense. Can New Day defend their new found gold?
WWE Divas Championship Match
Nikki Bella (c) vs. Naomi
- Speculated.
- After Naomi’s win over Brie Bella on last night’s Raw, it seems that she will have a rematch with Nikki for the title. The question is if we’re going to get a story line or have Naomi wrestle back and forth with the Bellas on the TV shows.
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match
Seth Rollins (c) vs. Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton
- Confirmed.
- This match was set last night on Raw after a WWE App vote. This match gives Orton retribution for Rollins stealing their Extreme Rules match and Reigns an opportunity to get revenge for Rollins cashing in on him at WrestleMania.
