Kevin Owens Promo/NXT TakeOver Announcement
Kevin Owens talks about how he was going to get rid of Alex Riley until Sami Zayn came out and saved the day last week. Owens calls out Zayn to come out right now.
Instead, NXT GM William Regal comes out.
Regal says Owens cannot make demands whenever he wants, to which the champion says he doesn’t care what he has to say right now. This leads to Zayn coming out, but Regal stop him.
Regal says he sees how both men want to fight each other, so he makes their match for the next NXT TakeOver live special on May 20.
Owens refuses to put the title on the line, until Zayn says that Owens has been living in his shadow for his career. Zayn says he fights for a prize, but Owens is not the prize, the NXT Title is. Owens, showing frustration, gives in and accepts.
Great opening segment to set up NXT TakeOver, which is going to be another great show.
Carmella/Blake and Murphy Backstage
We see Carmella arguing with Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady. After the Realest Guys in the Room walk away, Blake and Murphy try harassing the Princess of Staten Island. She eventually shoos them away.
Alex Bliss comes out and says that Carmella needs to have more class, which bothers her and she snaps back at Bliss. Blake and Murphy back to comfort her after Carmella walks away.
This was a heavy tease at Bliss aligning herself with Blake and Murphy. It’s an intriguing story line development, but do they really need more heel Divas?
