New Day vs Tyson Kidd, Cesaro, & Ryback
Result: New Day wins via pinall (Kofi pins Kidd)
Rating: 2.75 stars out of 5 stars
There was a lot of action going on in this match, so I’ll give more quick hit takeaways from the match:
- After teaming with Ryback, it’s safe to assume Kidd and Cesaro are now faces moving forward
- Cesaro is insanely over in Canada.
- Dual stalled vertical suplexes, Ryback with one on Big E and Cesaro with one on Xavier Woods. Great spot to show off their strength.
- Little things, like the faces stomping to the beat of “New Day Sucks” make matches that much better.
- Big E has the best belly to belly suplex in WWE today.
- Kidd hit a suicide dive on Xavier Woods and Cesaro hit one on Kofi.
The ending of the match came when the action was spilling to the outside. Ryback was in control when Bray Wyatt made the lights turn out and disoriented the faces. When the lights came back on, the two legal men were in the ring (Kofi and Kidd) and Kofi rolled up Kidd with a handful of tights for the victory. Good match with a lot of nice spots and touches, but the ending holds it back a bit. No Wyatt sighting is a disappointment, and seriously who gives wrestlers so much power over the lights.
Randy Orton Interview
I guess all four guys will be given their time being interviewed by Renee Young. Orton says he’ll hit everybody at Payback, even Vince McMahon if it comes down to it. Orton says one of the members of the Shield won’t make it to Payback
