Rob’s Note: This is very early for Cena to return. The apron powerbomb kept Sami Zayn off TV for a month. This lessens the impact of the move.

WWE could have had Cena off TV until the post-BattleGround Raw but given their booking of him, that wasn’t likely. What will he have to say?

Cena held up the US Championship and said he’s proud to be the champion of this country.

He brings up Kevin Owens and says he’s a man on a mission. He says Owens’ focus is for the US Championship and calls him a garbage human being.

Cena says he has a choice to make about Owens going for his title. He says he’ll do what a champion does and fight.

Owens would come out on stage and say he’s not upset about what Cena said. He said he doesn’t put value into people’s opinions and doesn’t care what anyone thinks of him.

He talks about the names he’s been called before, says he beat Cena at Elimination Chamber and left him lying in the ring at Money in the Bank.

Owens said he cares about winning titles and will take the US title because of how much Cena appreciates it. Owens then started talking in French and asked Cena for a match.

Cena responded with saying something in French and Chinese and accepted Owens’ request for a US Title match.
