Final Thoughts

Battleground was a solid pay-per-view and better than the two preceding shows of the same name. It featured multiple solid matches with none being “bad.”

However, John Cena defeating Kevin Owens will be what everyone’s talking about tomorrow.

WWE made this mistake with Rusev and Bray Wyatt. Now they’ve done it with Owens. Did he upset someone backstage? Is there another plan for him? The booking is very questionable because WWE is failing to make a star. It’s a real shame. I hope Owens recovers quickly from this and wins the title from Cena. This match’s ending is a reason why people do not like the future WWE Hall of Famer.

The other talking point is the return of The Undertaker. Fifteen months later, he’s back to take out Brock Lesnar and set up an epic SummerSlam rematch. This will be a great one to watch.
