WWE SmackDown Review: Seth Rollins vs. Cesaro
By Evan Gomes
We get a comic book styled recap of the Neville-Stardust match from Smackdown last week. I’m loving all the comic book imagery and styling of this feud.
Neville Interview
Neville is interviewed backstage by JoJo. He calls Stardust a nut and thinks its strange that he calls Neville a superhero and Stardust refers to himself as a super villain. Neville says Stardust cannot hold down what gravity can’t contain. After he walks away, Stardust pops up on the screen behind them cackling.
Neville vs Adam Rose
Result: Neville def. Rose by pinfall (Red Arrow)
Rating: 2.4 stars out of 5 stars
Adam Rose doesn’t even have Rosa Mendes, so he’s gone from Party Animal to generic low card jobber sans manager. Rose is in control to start, but doesn’t last long. Neville hits some of his patented offence including a moonsault onto the outside. Neville goes to the top rope and hits the Red Arrow for the win.
After the match, Stardust appears on the titantron. He says that heroes don’t last for ever, they come and go. Stars are eternal and last forever. He also makes a reference to arrows no matter the color while looking at a green party favor (foreshadowing a rumored feud with Stephen Amell?). Neville stands in the ring and looks as confused as the rest of us would be if a man in facepaint asked us to be his hero.
Most of that score is for the Red Arrow, the most impressive move in WWE right now. Adam Rose doesn’t do much for me with his current lack of character or direction. The after match antics of Stardust was great and I’m excited to see where things go from here between these two.
