We get a look at the training of Jake Gyllenhal for the Southpaw movie including interviews with the Tough Enough coaches. It’s pretty impressive to see his transformation.
We get a recap of the return of the Undertaker to Monday Night RAW since we’re not going to get Undertaker on SmackDown anytime soon.
Seth Rollins vs Cesaro (Non-Title Match)
Result: Rollins def. Cesaro by pinfall (Pedigree)
Rating: 3.3 stars out of 5 stars
Before the match we get a recap of Rollins and Cena’s confrontation on RAW.
Rollins leaves the ring immediately at the beginning of the match and Cesaro offers to open the ropes for him. Rollins is in control of Cesaro on the outside as we go to break.
Rollins has Cesaro in a sleeper hold after the commercial. Cesaro manages to get in control hitting an array of suplexes and his corner uppercuts. The match has some great mat wrestling between the two, and Rollins hits a superkick right to the jaw that scores a 2 count.
Rollins flips over Cesaro from the apron and hits the corner powerbomb. Cesaro reverses a Pedigree attempt into a Sharpshooter and then a Crossface. Rollins maanges to escape but is hit with a Very European Uppercut for a 2 count.
Rollins attempts to walk out of his match but gets nailed with an uppercut. Rollins rakes the eyes, hits Cesaro with a Pedigree and pins him for the three count.
After the match Kevin Owens comes out and beats down Cesaro. He hits a Pop-up Powerbomb to end the show.
A fantastic match by two solid wrestlers given enough time. Rollins is in need of a challenger for Summerslam, and I for one would not mind a match between these two for the title on the biggest show of the summer.
