NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn Predictions: Blake and Murphy vs. The Vaudevillains
Who will win the match of Blake and Murphy vs. The Vaudevillains at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn? Find out what the Daily DDT staff has to say.
The third title match of NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn will feature Blake and Murphy defending their NXT Tag Team Championship against The Vaudevillains. This will be a rematch from last month on NXT TV.
The build for this match began when Aiden English and Simon Gotch defeated Enzo Amore and Big Cass in a number one contender’s match for the titles on NXT. English and Gotch would battle Blake and Murphy for the belts on TV but lost when Alexa Bliss caused an interference. Since then, she’s been a thorn in their side.

Now tonight, English and Gotch are teasing bringing in someone to offset Bliss. Who could it be?
Now it’s time to get to who actually wins this match. What does the Daily DDT staff have to say about it? Check out our predictions for this NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn title match below:
Brandon’s Prediction:
The Vaudevillains have been teasing an appearance by a new diva to deal with Alexa Bliss, and I think that will push them to a win.
Prediction: The Vaudevillains
Callum’s Prediction:
The NXT Tag Team Championship match is an odd scenario, as the absence of Enzo Amore & Big Cass in their home of New York seems a massive oversight. Instead, we get Blake & Murphy vs The Vaudevillains, and I’m worried the crowd will eat it alive with chants for the absent tandem. In my opinion, B&M have regressed as performers since being champions with some really substandard contests. I expect the Vaudevillains to win due to the “plan” that they have to deal with the presence of Alexa Bliss at ringside.
Prediction: The Vaudevillains
Carl’s Prediction:
Blake and Murphy, the most boring tag champs in NXT history?? In my opinion yes. All i can think of when i see them are late 90’s WCW jobbers Lenny and Lodi (google them). Whilst they’re decent in the ring it’s time for them to lose, i want The Vaudevillains wearing those belts by the end of the night. A unique gimmick/entrance makes them interesting to watch and with their in ring style they’ll always produce the goods. Seeing Gotch and English on the microphone on this weeks NXT showed that they have all the potential to carry the division. It’s time for Blake and Murphy to move aside, the strong men are taking over!
Prediction: The Vaudevillains
Evan G’s Prediction:
Blake and Murphy haven’t had the most exciting reign as champions, but I think they are still trying to find their groove. The Vaudevillains have been entertaining, but Blake and Murphy, along with Alexa Bliss, still have lots left in their reign. Blake and Murphy retain.
Prediction: Blake and Murphy
Jordan’s Prediction:
Blake and Murphy have been surprisingly impressive as NXT Tag-Team champions. But, not impressive to the point where they are ready for a promotion to the main roster. The Vaudevillains, however, are ready for their rise to the main roster. That would be why Blake and Murphy will be victorious on Saturday
Prediction: Blake and Murphy
Rob’s Prediction:
I’m not the biggest fan of Blake and Murphy but Alexa Bliss has made them more entertaining with her antics. I think they lose their titles here to Aiden English and Simon Gotch to continue the program. Hopefully we get a good match out of this but neither have had a standout bout yet so I’m a little concerned. Maybe they won’t disappoint, especially since someone new is likely debuting to make this feud interesting.
Prediction: The Vaudevillains
Teddy’s Prediction:
Blake and Murphy retains for one reason, and one reason only: Alexa Bliss.
Prediction: Blake and Murphy
Travis’ Prediction:
The suddenly robust tag team scene in NXT has seen the benefit of Blake & Murphy as champions. Their pesky heel act alongside Alexa Bliss has gotten over with the crowd, and both guys can really go in the ring. But they’re also a team that probably needs the belts to stay over, while The VaudeVillains are perfectly fine in chase mode. When Blake & Murphy finally lose the gold it will be to another team that desperately needs it, so it won’t be tonight.
Prediction: Blake and Murphy
