According to WrestleZone, Stone Cold’s podcast on the WWE Network could have a controversial name on the show. Former WCW President Eric Bischoff is rumored to be a future guest.
Bischoff is famously remembered as being the president of WCW during the Monday Night Wars in the 1990’s. During his tenure as President, Bischoff brought WWE (WWF at the time) to near extinction. He created Monday Nitro on TNT and placed it in the same time slot that Raw was on USA Network. Bischoff became the most hated man in all of wrestling, and the only man to this day to truly compete with Vince McMahon.

Bischoff was the first person to think of having a wrestling show go live on primetime. By doing this, Bischoff was able to win the ratings war for over 2 years. WCW was the number one watched wrestling program from the spring of 1996 to the spring of 1998, not losing a ratings battle with WWF until April 1998.
Bischoff was also notorious from stealing talent away from WWF signing them for big money contracts with less wrestling dates. He stole stars such as Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Lex Luger and Bret Hart away from the WWF. Bischoff also would give away results of Raw during his epiosdes Nitro. Since Raw was pre-taped and was not live like Nitro, Bischoff was able to give away results of his competitor to keep people watching his show.
Other notable things Bischoff did during his time in WCW was creating a Cruiserweight division, which saw light weight international stars light up the wrestling world. And famously, Bischoff was heavily involved creating the nWo, who have been regarded as one of the greatest factions of all time.
After WCW folded Bischoff, shockingly came to WWE in 2002 where he became the general manager of Raw from 2002 to early 2006. Bischoff became the longest-serving general manager in the history of Raw and created iconic events such as Raw Roulette and the Elimination Chamber.
Bischoff has not be on WWE Television since 2008, so if the rumors are true this would be a pretty big return. Bischoff and Austin’s relationship will always be remembered by Bischoff firing Austin in WCW. Though the two have stated numerous times they are good terms now, it would be interesting to hear them talk about the situation on the WWE Network.
Bischoff was a guest on Austin’s podcast last year on PodcastOne, and the two talked about a number of topics including WCW, the Monday Night Wars and WCW’s demise. If Bischoff is indeed going to be a podcast guest for the WWE Network, with his stories and history during the Monday Night Wars, it will definitely be a must watch.
