Is Corporate Kane or the Demon the Real Kane?

Seth Rollins has been on the run from the demon inside his head, A.K.A. Demon Kane. Is the Demon Kane the real Kane or is Corporate Kane the real Kane?

More from WWE

Following the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at Night of Champions, Demon Kane came out from the back to proceeded to give the World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins a choke slam and a tombstone pile driver to send a message to his Authority stable mate. But the following right on Raw, Kane came out in a suit and tie as Corporate Kane.

Since the Raw following Night of Champions, Kane has played mind games with the WWE Heavyweight Champion, opening every Raw and SmackDown as the corporate Authority version, then by the end of the show appearing as demon-self, and going as far as dragging Rollins to Hell through the ring mat.

In this past week’s editions of Raw and SmackDown, the demon has hinted at a World Heavyweight Championship match at Hell in a Cell versus Rollins, torturing the cowardly champion at every chance he gets, portraying an overly whimsical Director of Operations, only to come out, after Rollins’ failed defrauding attempts, as the Demon Kane to decimate the champion and anything and anyone in his way.

In the latest edition of SmackDown, the show started off with Rollins calling out an injured Director of Operations, only to have Corporate Kane set up a six man tag team match with Rollins teaming up with the current WWE Tag Team Champions the New Day versus the Dudley Boyz and the demon, with the only stipulation being that Corporate Kane sit ringside so Rollins does not suspect any funny business with Kane.

Following an out ring miscue with D-Von Dudley and Rollins that sent Corporate Kane to the back, out came the demon looking yet again to rip apart the current champion, but Rollins fled from the scene. After the Dudley Boyz won via the distraction, the demon made mincemeat of his the Dudley Boyz and the New Day, proving that he has no allies.

Personally I feel that the WWE can only run this angle so far before they pull out new tricks with the demon and the corporate Director of Operations Kane. I feel if they want to advance the angle in have someone with the same physique as Kane don the demon mask and run the angle as, not as split personalities, but as separate beings in a non-wrestling, promo-only altercation to increase the level, to keep Rollins on edge heading into his match at Hell in a Cell against Kane.

The WWE has ran the fake Kane angle in the past. The promotion ran the angle during the Corporation days, running Kane’s older half-brother the Undertaker as the fake Kane.  The last time the WWE ran the fake Kane angle was in 2006, when Drew Hankinson donned the demon’s original mask and ring attire to set up a fake Kane versus real Kane match at the Vengeance pay per view in June 2006.
