Apollo Crews vs. Tyler Breeze

This is an intriguing match between a man who is set to be the next big thing in NXT, against the man who many thought would be one of the best NXT Champions we’ve ever seen, but who hasn’t quite been given that push to the top yet.

Crews is one of the most exciting in ring talents in the company. For the big man that he is he really does move around the ring like a cruiserweight at times. He is without doubt on the path to becoming the NXT Champion at some point in the next year and i can see nothing but a win for him here.

You have to feel more than a bit sorry for Tyler Breeze. He probably has the best character of anyone in the company, his cocky heel persona is something that he pulls off perfectly. He is more than capable of producing the goods in the ring but he just doesn’t seem to be able to buy a win of late. Losing at the last TakeOver against Jushin Liger was followed by the Dusty Rhodes tag Classic loss alongside Bull Dempsey to Tomasso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano. I can’t see that losing streak ending here.

This match has the potential to steal the show and will be the biggest opponent (and win) that Crews has been handed in his short NXT run so far.

Winner: Apollo Crews
