Last night’s NXT TakeOver: Respect live special was an excellent show. It featured the last matches of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, the debut of Asuka and an epic encounter for the NXT Women’s Championship in the main event.

However, one night after TakeOver concluded, we had the WWE NXT taping taking place from Full Sail University. Matches for the next four weeks of episodes were filmed that featured fallout from last night’s show and build towards NXT London.

Coming into this taping, we knew two things. The first is new Diva Nia Jax who will make her debut at the taping. Jax has had vignettes air for the past six weeks since NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn hyping up her debut. Her match is set to air next week. We also know that there will be a No. 1 Contender’s Battle Royal airing on next week’s episode as well. Some tension between Finn Balor and Samoa Joe was teased for this, as seen in the video below.
