New Day Promo
The main event for tonight is announced to be Randy Orton and Roman Reigns against Bray Wyatt & Braun Strowman.
New Day opens this week, so we can’t be sour. A recap of New Day taking out Cena, Ziggler & the Dudley Boyz is shown. We all should give it up for the New Day Order.
New Day say what they did on Monday taking out those four guys has never been seen before, name dropping famous factions like Shield, N.W.O., and The Corre. Woods tells the Philly crowd that Eagles coach Chip Kelly called the New Day about how to make his team more positive. Woods and New Day say that the Eagles are booty.
New Day talks about how unfair it is for the Dudleyz to get another title shot, but they are interrupted by the Show-Off, Dolph Ziggler. Dolph is upset that New Day cost him his chance against John Cena. Ziggler says he asked the Authority for a match against the man he taught everything he knows, and who stole his opportunity against Cena, Big E.
Woods says not to worry, it’ll be a fair fight. Ziggler says you’re damn right it will be, and brings out the Dudleyz to be his backup. This match is up first.
Big E w/ Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods vs. Dolph Ziggler w/ the Dudley Boyz
Result: Big E defeated Dolph Ziggler via pinfall.
Rating: 2.75 out of 5 stars
Ziggler comes out hot to start the match, hitting a big leaping DDT as we go to the first commercial break.
Back from the break and Big E is overpowering Ziggler. Woods and Kofi area dding their own commentary and background music to the match as usual. Big E locks in a bear hug and wears down Ziggler. Dolph manages to fight back and catch Big E with a fameasser for a two count. Big E hits his giant splash for a two count as well.
Kofi tries to get involved, but gets pulled off the apron by Bubba Ray. Woods distracts the ref and allows Kofi to hit Ziggler. Big E covers Ziggler and Kofi holds down Ziggler’s leg for the three count.
Evan’s Note: Big heel heat on New Day continuing is great. They can’t get too face-ish. Big E has one of the best big man splashes in history.
