WWE Hell in a Cell 2015: Why Charlotte Should Not Be Facing Nikki Bella
Charlotte and Nikki Bella are set to rematch for the WWE Divas Championship at WWE Hell in a Cell, but we’ll tell you why this match shouldn’t be happening.

Once Charlotte was called up from NXT in July, big plans were in store for her. She’s the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, so it was a given that she would receive a push. Plus, the Nature Girl has a unique size for a Diva and has shown to hold her own in the ring. Those three factors made her destined for stardom on the main roster.
This made it somewhat clear that Charlotte would be first in line for a Divas Championship reign from the Four Horsewomen class. She has since held the belt for a month and is going into WWE Hell in a Cell this Sunday for her first title defense against Nikki Bella.

Nikki and Charlotte had an interesting but fun build to their first title match, which took place on the go-home Raw before WWE Night of Champions. The Bella Twin was days away from becoming the longest-reigning Divas Champion in WWE history and had Charlotte lined up as a No. 1 Contender since she won a Beat the Clock challenge a few weeks before. Charlotte would say she went to The Authority and asked them to grant her a chance at beating Nikki for the title before her record went into place, and they accepted. This created a great dynamic and story behind the title match that came on Raw. Would Charlotte be able to end the reign hours before the record went into place?
Suspense has been lost in WWE programming over the years but this brought it back. Despite Charlotte not winning the title on Raw, and Nikki going onto set the record, there was a story here. When was the last time there was an actual program for the Divas Championship that wasn’t boring?

While things were trending up for Charlotte and the Divas Championship, the program unfortunately has come crashing down since Night of Champions.
Nikki is due a rematch for the title due to years of WWE booking patterns, fine. But, the rematch should have come the night Night of Champions or on an episode of Raw before Hell in a Cell.
Nikki and Charlotte have hardly had any interaction for the past month since the latter won the championship. It’s been mostly Team Bella vs. Team B.A.D. if anything, so why aren’t we getting something involving them in a match at Hell in a Cell? Their program has got a decent spot on Raw in the early portion of the show that’s drawing viewers. Charlotte has received a spot in the 10:00-10:20 PM ET range, which is usually when fans tune out of the show. She hasn’t been doing much, either. It seems she either is winning a match or watching from ringside. Nothing to build her program with Nikki. This isn’t either woman’s fault, though. As usual, it’s on WWE Creative for making the build to the rematch awful.
Instead of Charlotte facing Nikki in an uninspiring battle, why wasn’t Paige thrown in there? She was originally planned for this match and could have made this a little more interesting. Triple threat matches can be sloppy but her added presence would have helped. Even throw Naomi in there and find a way to build the tension between her and Sasha Banks that WWE has started teasing.
We now go into Hell in a Cell with Charlotte and Nikki facing each other for the Divas Championship. Should anyone care? I don’t, and WWE has given you every reason not to.
