Hell in a Cell Match
The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar
Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar. Two massive beasts set to collide. With the scores locked at 1-1 the final match in the trilogy is set to be held inside Hell in a Cell.
Brock was the man deemed worthy of breaking the streak at WrestleMania last year. Taker got the win in controversial fashion at SummerSlam a few months back, he got the win after seemingly tapping out. One low blow and a three count later and Taker evened the scores.
We’ve seen anything and everything from them both. Brawls, beatings, arena wide fights we’ve had it all. Two things that stand out are the fact that Brock hasn’t won clean on PPV since way back at the Royal Rumble and that this is a re-match of the 2002 WWE title match between the pair. The fact that Brock hasn’t won a ppv match since Jan. can be balanced with the fact he’s been in very few matches, due to his unique contract. Taker lost the match in 2002 and Brock went on to be the next big thing.
Looking at the last few months this is a massive match for the pair and for the company. Many thought would be held off until next years WrestleMania but the last match in this trilogy is coming at a time when the company has hit a ratings low. Taker will most likely be heading towards a retirement match at Mania instead and Brock will no doubt be looking to get back into the Heavyweight Championship title picture heading to the show of shows.
