Seth Rollins recently sat down with CBS Radio Dallas 105.3 The Fan (h/t SEScoops) for an interview. During the interview, Rollins answered questions ranging in topics. One topic that came was who inspired Rollins to become a pro wrestler.
One of the names was a bit of shocker. Seth Rollins mentioned that current Bullet Club Leader, AJ Styles is someone who has inspired him to be a wrestler. When discussing a future match with Styles, Rollins had this to say.

"“I don’t talk to AJ on the regular, but I think he’s doing pretty alright in New Japan [Pro-Wrestling’s] Bullet Club and Ring Of Honor, so he [has] made a great career for himself just doing his thing, doing AJ. I mean, he’s someone I’d love to work with, especially at this stage of our careers. I think we’re pretty much at the top of our games, so it’d be cool, but you never know.”"
On an interesting note AJ Styles has been asked whether or not he would be interested in working for WWE. AJ recently was on Taz’s podcast and said this about joining WWE in the near future.
"“At this point in my career, I’m going to go do what’s best for my family, and I want to do what is best to provide for them. So, the business that we are in, the business could be better somewhere else, then that’s where I’m going to go, that’s what I’m going to do. So like I said, it’s a business plan. Wherever the plan takes me, that’s where I’ll go.”"
AJ Styles vs Seth Rollins would be an excellent match. The two are truly on the top of their game and, it could be a five-star gem. If WWE was smart they would bring in AJ Styles. Styles who is currently one of the top stars in New Japan Pro Wrestling would help WWE’s low amount of star power.
WWE if they sign Styles should go against their new policy and send him right to the main roster. As we’ve seen with Samoa Joe and James Storm WWE likes new talent to begin in NXT. However with AJ Styles recognition and star power world wide im sure WWE can bend the rules with him.
Bringing AJ Styles would also give Seth Rollins a true main event rival, opponent and feud (besides John Cena). Seth Rollins WWE Championship run to me has been very similar to Shawn Michaels first run in 1996. Just like Michaels, despite having some pretty good championship matches, Rollins hasn’t been able to have a relevant championship run. The abysmal ratings also happened during Michaels reign as well. Bringing in AJ Styles to face Rollins would do both higher ratings and finally give a spark into Rollins championship run.
