How does the Undertaker vs. Bray Wyatt feud come to a definitive end at WrestleMania 32? Read on to find out.

After his feud with Brock Lesnar ended at Hell in a Cell, you could be left wondering where The Undertaker would head from there. We found that out in quick fashion as he was ambushed by Bray Wyatt and The Wyatt Family almost immediately at the end of that match. Seeing the Deadman carried out on the shoulders of Wyatt’s minions was a startling sight, but it pushes Taker into a programme with a man who can take his mantle as the resident paranormal force in WWE.

We’ve seen more of Undertaker in the past few months on TV and PPV than we seem to have in the last few years. A mainstay of WrestleMania, it seemed that Taker would drop into the company to keep his record alive at the Grandaddy of them all once a year then disappear until he was next called upon. That’s not been the case in the last twelve months though as he’s first popped to beat and then be beaten by Brock Lesnar and has now entered a run with Wyatt and his family.

Could this be the start of his final run with the company? Could this be the perfect feud to build up another man as the person to take the Undertaker’s mystique and become the big thing in the company? Is now the time for Undertaker to bow out, become a member of the Hall of Fame and retire while he can still sit back and enjoy the rest of his life?

When the Wyatt Family walked out of the arena with Undertaker on their shoulders, and then followed that up with a similar fate for Kane the following week, you just know that we’re heading for a massive showdown in the coming months. There’s the possibility for an epic four vs four Survivor Series match, there’s the possibility for so much mystery and aura behind the scenes, there’s the chance for Undertaker to pass the torch to Wyatt as the man to basically carry his gimmick forward for the next generation to enjoy. You can have an Undertaker style character without it having to actually be the Undertaker.

  • In the past we’ve seen so much behind Undertaker’s character. From lightning bolts, to fire, to coming back from the dead and being controlled by the mythical urn back in the day. Wyatt has similar traits to Undertaker, he seems to have a mystical control over the rest of the Wyatt Family, he is more like a cult leader than anything but there’s definitely a big hint of the supernatural about him. Having the tow men face off against each other is a perfect storyline and the perfect way to have Undertaker bow out from the WWE, but how do we get there?

After having a massive 4 on 4 match at Survivor Series, most likely won by the Wyatt’s, you need to have Undertaker disappear for a few weeks. Bray can still keep the story going with promo’s on tv and by having the rest of the Family beat other teams every week. Then around the time of Royal Rumble you have Undertaker start sending signals in Bray’s direction. The lights go out as he’s talking and then come back on to see the rest of the Wyatt Family laid out. On another occasion Wyatt begins to bleed as he’s sat at ringside watching the rest of the Wyatt clan wrestle.

We don’t know where this is all heading until we get to the Royal Rumble. As Bray is in the Rumble match the next entrant is set to come out, it turns out to be Brawn Strowman but as he makes his way to the ring Taker’s music hits and the lights go out, they come back on and Strowman is laid on the floor with Undertaker stood over him. Bray is eliminated by Kane in the match and goes after Taker, only to see the Deadman get away.

For a few more weeks we see the spectre of Undertaker in the background of everything that the Wyatt’s do. Until finally they come face to face with each other a couple of weeks before WrestleMania. Wyatt tells Undertaker that enough is enough and this should end at ‘Mania. Taker agrees. It’s announced the match will be a street fight (or similar style) match.

We come to the big event in Dallas. The night before Undertaker has been added to the Hall of Fame. We have the vision of the long aisle lined with druids and Taker slowly stalks his way to the ring, making Wyatt wait for his inevitable destruction. Undertaker has the beating of Bray until the rest of the Wyatt’s make their way out to help their leader, they get the better of the Deadman and Wyatt gets the win. Taker is again carried out on the shoulders of the Wyatt Family, taken up the aisle and laid on the ramp. In a scene eerily reminiscent to earlier in his career the Undertaker ascends to the heavens and is gone from WWE, his legacy being passed on to Bray Wyatt.
