10. Natalya

Last Week: –

Natalya posted back-to-back wins on SmackDown and Raw against two of the three members of Team BAD. If given enough airtime, the impending showdown with Sasha Banks has the potential to be a match-of-the-year candidate. More importantly, this could be the spark Natalya needs to once again contend for the Divas Championship.

9. Cesaro

Last Week: –

Cesaro and Sheamus put on the match of the night on Monday’s Raw. Not to take anything away from Sheamus, but Cesaro has a knack for bringing the best out of his opponents—which bodes well for his next opponent in the WWE Title tournament, Roman Reigns. It’s inevitable that Cesaro will lose that match, but hopefully that won’t kill all of his recent momentum.

8. Dean Ambrose

Last Week: –

Although Roman Reigns is the undisputed, top beneficiary from the WWE World Heavyweight Title being vacated, the tournament should do wonders for Dean Ambrose as well. The other primary contenders on his side of the bracket are Ziggler and Owens, yet realistically Ambrose is the favorite to make a push for the finals. Even if he doesn’t walk out of Survivor Series as the champion, it’s a breath of fresh air for Dean, who recently was on track to being stuck in nonsensical tag match purgatory for the foreseeable future.

7. The New Day

Last Week: 9

The New Day went out on Raw and had to vocally remind the audience the carnage they inflicted on Cena, Ziggler and the Dudleys a few weeks back. Combine that with the fact that no members of the New Day were included in the WWE Title tournament, and it’s safe to say the Tag Team Champions are struggling to maintain their presence in the WWE. The only reason for their rise on the WWE Power Rankings is that other Superstars are having that much harder of a time remaining relevant (e.g. the Lucha Dragons or Charlotte).

6. Dolph Ziggler

Last Week: 8

Ziggler’s true standing will be revealed next week when he faces Dean Ambrose in the quarterfinals of the WWE Title tournament. Given Ziggler’s history of perennially flirting with the main event, it’s likely that he’ll be making his exit from the tourney sooner as opposed to later.

But who knows? Maybe this is actually Ziggler’s time to break through to a higher level.

Then again, that’s what people thought after last year’s Survivor Series.
