Survivor Series (2012) – CM Punk (c) vs. John Cena vs. Ryback for the WWE Championship
With one more win, Punk would end up holding the WWE Championship for an entire year, and with the help of the Shield, he was able to do so. Yes, probably more importantly than the match itself, this is the first time WWE fans got a taste of the destruction The Shield would be commonly known for over the next few years.
Most of the match was a back and forth affair between the three participants, each man got in their signature moves. He crowd was fully behind CM Punk, as he and Cena teamed up to double-suplex Ryback perfectly through an announcer table, leaving Cena and Punk to face each other in probably the best part of the contest.

After delivering a Shellshock to Cena, The Shield (who had no name at the time) rushed the ring and beat Ryback badly, triple-powerbombing him through another announcer table. Props to Ryback for taking some major bumps in this one, Punk was able to take advantage and get the win. A well fought match between the three participants, which, more importantly debuted the future of the WWE in Ambrose, Rollins, and Reigns.
