2) Ultimate Warrior, The Texas Tornado & The Legion of Doom (1990)

In the number two spot, we have an amazing alliance of four wrestling superstars that were popular then, and still today. The Legion of Doom was fairly new to the WWE at this point, but they already had a fine reputation of being one of the best tag teams in the world. Texas Tornado was added, bringing even more power, and was technically the Intercontinental champion at the time, though he lost it days previous to Mr. Perfect, but that show wouldn’t air until the next month. Finally, the WWE Champion, The Ultimate Warrior, whose popularity skyrocketed after defeating Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania VI earlier in the year.

This match kicked off the night with a bang, when part way through both members of the Legion of Doom were eliminated by disqualification for brawling too long in the ring against Ax and Smash of Demolition. Texas Tornado eventually was eliminated by Mr. Perfect’s Perfect-Plex, leaving The Ultimate Warrior as the only survivor when he finished off Perfect with a Warrior Splash.

Ultimately, all four members of this team were inducted into the Hall of Fame, with Texas Tornado being inducted with the entire Von Erich family. Sadly, three out of the four members are no long with us today, leaving Animal as the true sole survivor.
