Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose

This match has the potential to be the best match of the night.  Both bring a crazed intensity that they developed in the indies and both carry a bit of an edge in the WWE ring, with Owens playing a guy that likes to fight and Ambrose is known as the Lunatic Fringe.

From a booking standpoint this one is very tough to predict.  The built-in story is there for Amrbrose.  He was one of the members of the Shield and has been an ally to Roman Reigns over the past year and a half since Seth Rollins turned on the group.  There is great potential for drama in a Roman Reigns vs Dean Ambrose final, especially if one of them were to turn heel and join forces with the Authority. (My vote would be for Roman Reigns to join)  It would also setup a feud that would carry into the Royal Rumble and maybe even extend into WrestleMania.

However, another option would be for Kevin Owens to defeat Ambrose and head to the finals, maybe even with help from the Authority.  The advantage with this route of course is WWE can keep 2 of their top babyfaces and advance a new monster heel to be the Authority’s enforcer.  It would also feed into the persona that Kevin Owens has had since he entered WWE including his NXT debut, that he is a true fighter that is there to collect gold at any cost.

This will be an outstanding match that should leave fans wanting more no matter the outcome.  However, I do believe WWE will go with the conflict between the former shield members.
