Divas Recap & Interview

We get a recap of Charlotte using her dad’s dirty tactics to get a win over her friend Becky Lynch.

Becky is interviewed by JoJo backstage. Lynch says that Charlotte is still her best friend, and even though she isn’t happy about how she won she won’t try to let it affect her. Becky says Charlotte won’t go down the same road, but she is interrupted by Brie Bella and Alicia Fox.

Bella says that Lynch is going to drown in her shame, and Foxy says the problem with team PCB was always Lynch. Charlotte interrupts and reminds Brie that she beat her twin for the title. Charlotte reminds Becky she will be in her corner tonight.

Brie Bella w/Alicia Fox vs. Becky Lych w/Charlotte

Result: Brie Bella wins via disqualification.

Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars

Brie gets the upper hand on Becky in the beginning. Team BAD is shown backstage with a piniata and a kendo stick. Brie goes “Brie Mode” and hits the running knee. Becky gets the momentum back and hits an exploder suplex for a two count. Brie wrestles into the ropes and inadvertently knocks Charlotte down. Becky gets Brie in the Dis-Arm-Her and Charlotte interrupts to attack Bella as revenge for knocking her down.

Becky is livid after the match and Charlotte tries to reconcile and explain her actions. Becky doesn’t want to hear it.

Evan’s Note: Some of the best storylines are having a face champion turn while they are still champion. Charlotte may be heading for an eventual break with her BFF Becky Lynch. While Lynch was the forgotten one in the initial Divas invasion, it’s great to see her being portrayed as a plucky babyface now on the main roster. Her vs Charlotte come WrestleMania could be a money feud, especially if Sasha Banks is added in the mix.
