Rusev & Lana Interview
Renee Young is backstage with the happy couple. We get a recap of the Rusev-Ryback match from Monday Night RAW and Lana’s inadvertent injury. Rusev says he can always have another match, but he would never have another Lana. Rusev says next time he sees Ryback he is going to crush him, and the couple kisses to end the segment.
New Day vs. Dean Ambrose & the Usos
Result: New Day def. Ambrose & Usos via pinfall.
Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
Xavier Woods and an Uso start off the match. Reigns is shown backstage watching his family dominate the early going of the matchup. New Day gets control and Big E drops an Uso with some tricep meat. Big E goes for his big splash and misses. Uso gets a hot tag to Ambrose. Action spills to the outside and New Day get all taken out. New Day low blows Ambrose as we go to break.
Back from the break and New Day is firmly in charge of the match. Ambrose begins to mount a comeback, but Kingston grounds him again. Ambrost destroys Kingston with a rebound clothesline and gets the hot tag to an Uso. Both Usos clear house and Ambrose takes out Big E with a missile dropkick and Jey Uso takes him out with a suicide dive. Jimmy Uso goes for a Superfly splash but tweaks his knee fighting off Kingston. Kofi hits a Trouble in Paradise on the knee, and Woods pins Jimmy for the win. Reigns will be solo in the main event.
Evan’s Note: If Reigns takes out all four members of the League of Nations tonight, it will destroy any credibility all four men have. WWE needs to book the League strongly, and not just force Reigns as Cena 2.0 down our throats. Have reigns put up a valiant fight, but four men including two current champions can not be bested by one man, no matter who that man is.
