WWE Rumor: Brand Split Rosters Revealed?

Is this how the Raw and Smackdown rosters will look after next month’s WWE Draft?

If you’re a wrestling fan then right now your mind is occupied by one thing: the WWE brand split. The decision to once again exclusively divide the roster between Raw and Smackdown beginning on July 19th has been a controversial one, but it’s also got fans talking about where their favorite superstars will end up. While nothing is concrete in regards to the upcoming WWE Draft, a rumored list is going around (via PWMania) that claims to show the breakdown following the split.

It can’t be emphasized enough that this is a rumor, so take it with a handful of Mr. Fuji salt.

So where are WWE Champion Roman Reigns and WWE Women’s Champion, Charlotte? As the company’s top champions they would float between both shows.

Just looking this over it would be hard to believe this is the final line-up. It includes practically the entire NXT roster, although champions Samoa Joe and Asuka are suspiciously absent while Elias Samson is called-up. That just doesn’t make sense.  Could it have something to do with the next NXT: TakeOver event being subtitled ‘The End’?

The list puts John Cena back on Raw, which is to be expected he’d be on the flagship show, but places current U.S. Champion Rusev on Smackdown. Of course, he may not be champion by the time the draft rolls around. The Miz and Maryse are also listed as being on Raw, which suggests the Intercontinental championship will be exclusive to that show.

The longtime feud between Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens would come to a halt according to this, with Owens on Smackdown and Zayn on Raw. Yet the table remains set for a SHIELD reunion with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose both on Raw. Former Bullet Club members AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson are all together on Smackdown, keeping that beef alive. Finn Balor is there, too.

We’ll see how much if any, of this, turns out to be accurate.  It kind of reads like a wrestling fan’s wishlist. An amazing wishlist, sure, but probably not the real thing. We should find out soon as the WWE Draft is expected to take place on the July 11th Monday Night Raw from Detroit, MI.
