Seth Rollins Should Be the Face of WWE Raw
By Jay Sichler
With the draft set to commence in a few weeks, WWE needs to make Seth Rollins the new face of the RAW brand.
WWE is getting ready to split the rosters once again as the company has decided to bring back the Brand Extension. WWE’s original Brand Extension ran from 2002-2011, and was used to help create equal opportunity for the influx of talent WWE acquired after both WCW and ECW folded in early 2001.
To help give as many talents chances to be top guys, WWE split the roster with half the roster competing on RAW while the other half competed on Smackdown. The Brand Extension helped create new stars and helped elevate mid carders into the main event spots.

New stars such as Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, and John Cena got their starts during the Brand Extension to become the stars they would become. Mid-carders like Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, JBL and Booker T went from perennial mid-carders into main event stars during the Brand Extension.

With WWE splitting the brands once again WWE will need to create two superstars that we’ll be the face of their respective brands (One for RAW, and Smackdown). When the brand split originated in 2002, Stone Cold was the face of RAW while The Rock was the face of Smackdown.
As the years progressed it became Triple H for Raw and The Undertaker for Smackdown. When the brands were nearing the end, John Cena was the face of RAW and Edge was the face of Smackdown.
With WWE splitting up the rosters once again, both RAW and Smackdown we’ll need a face for each show. For Monday Night Raw, the face of the brand should be “The Architect” Seth Rollins. Ever since his return from injury last month, Rollins has been on an absolute tear.
The former NXT Champion has towed the line between being a heel and being a face. Despite coming off as the jerk he once was before his injury in November, the majority of the fans have embraced Rollins since his return.
It’s hard not to root for the guy after he busted his butt to make it back from a torn ACL and MCL as quickly as he could. WWE releasing a documentary, which covered his road to recovery, also showed Rollins in a different light and fans really became supportive of him.
Rollins will be competing a Battleground for the WWE Championship against Dean Ambrose and the currently suspended Roman Reigns. With it seeming unlikely that WWE will reward Reigns with a championship right after his suspension, it seems that WWE will either have Rollins or Ambrose win the match.

WWE should really have Seth Rollins win the match at Battleground. With the WWE Championship most likely being exclusive to RAW, the company should put it on the man who should be the face of the brand.
With the draft two weeks away, Seth Rollins needs to be the first overall pick for the RAW brand. Rollins has been showing that he can carry himself both in the ring and on the microphone. Despite cutting heelish promos the last few weeks, the fans still seem to be backing him
Rollins has also been having some great matches since coming back in May. He has always been good in the ring, however, because of his injury, he has had to change his style a little bit.
Rollins used to be more aerial in his style. Now, he has based his style more on a mat and technical style. His short sample thus far has been really good and he is showing that he can hold his own with anyone in the ring.
With WWE RAW most likely getting the first pick in the draft, Seth Rollins needs to be the first overall pick taken in the draft. Rollins going first would be a huge for his career, as he would be viewed as the top guy in the whole company. With RAW being the flagship show, having Rollins go first to the Red Brand would solidify him as the face of RAW going forward.
